I think I found out who's headlining what show for this tour. Now, don't hold me against this, this is just what I THINK is going on but...

http://katatonia.com/tour/

If you go there, you can see that starting at Seattle (MY SHOW!) there are no tickets for Katatonia, but the next one there is, then not, then is, then not for a couple shows and so on. Then there's a block of Canada shows that there aren't tickets for. So maybe Devin is headlining all the shows that Katatonia doesn't have tickets for.

Again, I don't know for sure, just a thought, but seems slightly right maybe?

(Forget all of that^^^)

Here is the headline rotation..
Sept. 4--Seattle, WA--Studio 7 - Devin Townsend Project
Sept. 5--Vancouver, BC--Commdore - Katatonia
Sept. 7--San Francisco, CA--Great American Music Hall - Devin Townsend Project
Sept. 8--Los Angeles, CA--El Rey Theater - Katatonia
Sept. 9--Phoenix, AZ--Marquee Theater - Devin Townsend Project
Sept. 11--Houston, TX--Warehouse Live Studio - Katatonia
Sept. 12--Dallas, TX--Trees - Devin Townsend Project
Sept. 13--Lawrence, KS--Granada - Katatonia
Sept. 14--Denver, CO--Summit - Devin Townsend Project
Sept. 16--Minneapolis, MN--Studio 7 - Katatonia
Sept. 17--Chicago, IL--Bottom Lounge - Devin Townsend Project
Sept. 18--Pittsburgh, PA--Mr. Smalls - Katatonia
Sept. 19--Toronto, ON--Opera House - Devin Townsend Project

Anyway, great line-up. I wish I lived in the US.

Not really at all. Katatonia headlines half the tours they do over here.

As does Paradise Lost... up until a few years ago.

They stopped touring over here almost entirely, while Katatonia has been touring regularly. This is a great way for an older school band to latch on to a slightly younger fanbase (because Katatonia didn't really catch on in the US until Last Fair Deal, really) or one that has grown since they've been touring with Opeth. Point is, for the US audience, this is where they've slid to at this point. That's what happens when you don't tour the states in 5 years.

And even that was as support for Nightwish. Before that they were here in 2003 supporting Opeth.

Yeah, should be a good opportunity for Paradise Lost. It's frustrating... they're such an underrated band (IMHO). I felt sad when I heard that they're first week sales were 500 copies in the US for the recent album.
