Hi, not sure if this has been discussed before, (I did look using the search function), and forgive me if Im digging here, but Im curious, what happened regarding Dev and Japan? He did the live vid from there, was featured heavily in jap magazines, even filmed an instructional tape for the Jap market then it all just...stopped..

We have one really awesome lady here by the name of izumix who once said that the japanese market considered him a spent artist. It's just the way they roll.

I mean dev's tweeted hints about future endeavors out there, so maybe it's changing. Japan's a weird market, that shouldn't surprise you. My complete baseless theory is that the Japanese are super into guitar guys, and dev had that pedigree with Steve Vai, and while we know he can shred, that's not nearly as present in his songwriting.

Dunno.

Ahhh, there is my name...

About 15-20years ago, Sony(Japanese record company) spent a lot of money for promotion of Devin Townsend. And also one Burrn! magazine's editor recommend Devin highly, provided many his interview and other article. So, Ocean Machine and Infinity were sold in quantities.

Something good will be revealed in a few days or few weeks... I'm not sure...
