I NEED HELP!!!

I was wondering how can I use my Line6 without affecting the deep sound of my Jmp01.
I tried a few options but the line6 leaved me with no further ways to work because I wanted to use the Line6 as a fx-rack and you just CAN'T!!!!
I like my Marshall sound but I wanted to improve my sound with line6fx's.

I personnaly don't find any good deep preamp-sound out my Line6 and that's the reason why I didn't wanted to use it this way.

but anyway maybe i'm totally wrong.
you know my rack so......

IS THERE SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP ME TO IMPROVE MY SOUND IN ANY WAY WITH THE EQUIPMENT i'VE GOT????????????????

and 1more question i saw Fredriks rack, what does he do with 4 Line6 devices???? how does he used it?????

Hey there fella.

The Line6 equipment is meant to be used as a recording device or a preamp unit. The best way to use it is to plug your guitar into the input of the line6, and plug the "out" of the line6 into the "clean channel input" in your Marshall. Set the line6 volume pretty low, like maybe 2, and use the marshall master volume for the rest. Your EQ unit isn't needed, really. It will just add noise to your signal unless you use it to strictly CUT and not to boost. As far as I know, you can't "combine" the line6 signal with your Marshall signal unless you get a stereo signal splitter and use an entirely seperate power amp and cabinet for your line6 signal, in effect running two amps in stereo from one guitar signal.

As far as getting a deep sound with your line6 - I've heard some sick ass deep crunchy shit from those line6 things. My last guitarist used a line6 pod and I had to CUT the low end from his tracks. There was WAYYY TOOO MUCH of it. If you are not getting enough low end from it maybe you should switch to bass....

Just play with it. Don't be in a rush, and trust your ears. You will find a good sound. The best sound is a balanced sound. Don't try to force it too much. You need sonic room for the bass guitar as well. If you have too much low end in your guitar, the bass guitar will not be very well defined at all.

there is one thing I could do to split my signal in stereo,
guitar to line6input, unprocessed guitar out to input marshall
and then line6 and marshall output to my slave 100/100.

this way i could get a separated signal into 2preamps at the same time in the same powerslave
BUT then i found my sound to thin because i lose half of my full dynamic marshall sound.
a tried a few things but didnt found a great setup yet.

but anyway I'll try your way and let you know how it went.

I'm pretty sure that Fredrik only has three PODs in it, there is one for rhythm, one for lead and one as a spare in case either of the other two break.

Line 6 haven't figured out how to do seamless switching yet so Meshuggah use multiple PODs like that and footswitch between them rather than switching channels on a single unit.

Fredrik uses Rocktron boosters and pre amps prior to the POD and he uses a Digitech rackmounted effects unit after it. The settings he has in the POD are simulations of a Mesa Boogie with Marshall Valvestate for the rhythm and Mesa and Soldano for lead. He uses the PODs for amp simulation only, he gets all of his effects from the Digitech.

I have a RocktronnProgapII but i've never used it just because I don't know quiet well how it works. its an old device and i dont find any manuals.

but when you ask people about manuals (where to find etc..)
the only thing they say is "OOOOh but it's really simple to use"

ok maybe their very good technicians and i don't or maybe i'm just plain f*ckin' stupid. can anyone help through this one.
