Yeah, I love what EP stands for, "extended" yet it's usually really short! Hahaha.

Anyway, I'm surprised that "OM" isn't peoples' favorite. Personally mine is "Sit In The Mountain," a brilliant piece of work, but "OM" is equally as good, it just has a very big "Regulator" vibe to it, so it sort of knocks it down a notch! And it's a fucking demo! Hahaha. Dev is out of his mind! A demo...hahaha!

I don't think these are demos in your usual sense of the word... More like they were supposed to be used as the final product but devin wasn't absolutely happy with how they turned out, so he called them 'demos' because if he had the time he would redo them to make them exactly as he hears it in his head but because he was on a budget and a timeframe he couldn't...

Well, they're "Devin Demos" then? =)

And "Man" is a demo? That's a finished song in my book. Yeah, I agree, I don't think that Devin means the same thing other artists do when he calls something a demo.

I voted for "Sit In the Mountain" even though I very much like the other songs on the EP. I'm just a sucker for the "happy-feeling" songs like SITM and "Life" off of Ocean Machine. I just like that guitar at the beginning and the riff and the way he sings and and and. It's a very cool song. It so should have been on Infinity. I could totally have done without Wild Colonial Boy (even though I hear it's a fave of Tracy's) and Noisy Pink Bubbles if we could have had SITM and the others on there.

If you create a cdr with "the original tracklisting" as suggested in another thread, you can finally understand WHY Devin called these songs (not counting Christeen and Love Load) demos.

They do sound grand, but unfinished once presented in the context they were originally meant for.

The Infinite Waltz section of Processional is an amazing ending to a great epic and without any doubt the hightlight of the EP for me.

I actually have such a CDR, as suggested in another thread, and I think they sound pretty good. I was listening to the EP on headphones just last night and thought they sounded quite finished overall. So, I guess I disagree with you there. I don't think they sound unfinished at all. Maybe they're missing a layer or two but *I* don't miss those layers. :-)

either sit in the mountain or processional. I ended up voted for Processional because its longer and always relaxes me and puts me in a sleepy mood. The Welcome Home part is becoming one of my favorite parts of any dev song. keep to the right! keep to the left! is that supposed to mean something?

sitm definately, but then, OM does come really close. sitm takes my vote just because it has such beauty that you dont normally hear in music like this. OM is on the other hand one of the coolest rock songs. i mean how much cooler can you get than the first riff in that song?

but still not as "long" as an LP...

Sit in the Mountains is most definately my favourite track of the EP.

I second that. Together with OM. So don't make me choose

Hmm.....funny how the song I chose as my favorite happened to be the one people seem to least enjoy. Love-load is quite a "demo". It took me a couple of listens but to this very day, I'm still discovering more stuff on that particular track. It's quite a love load. :)
