Alright, I've had this for a while now and damn this baby kicks ass! :D Compared to my old Jackson DX7, it's got so much more clearer sound and longer sustain, not to mention much sharper and ballsy palm mute tone. The more I play this, the better it feels :)

Can't wait to get to play it live & loud

Here's some pictures:

Nice. I still haven't decided which way I'm going to go regarding the purchase of my guitar.

On an unrelated matter, have you heard anything about the board lately?

Don't know anything about how it sounds but it sure looks nice. Congratulations.

If you didn't get 6.0's mail, they are working on the domain (to get it back) and they are also working on a few changes.

NFG! It looks like a COOL Iceman. Love the thru the body string....that would probably explain the better sustain. I might have to check out and see if my local shop has one of those, and check it out.

My old Jackson also had string-thru-body. - and so will every guitar I will ever buy ;)

We just had our first band training with the new guitar and it sounds damn kickass. I also recorded some testings with my portable mp3-player to see how the sound is like, so I'll see how it roughly sounds. I might post some clips.

No, missed that one. Thanks for the info. :)

Edit: Actually, I did get it, it was just hiding in my junk mail folder.

I just got to play my first ever schecters and was very impressed, the baritone blackjack's neck was slightly too thick for my personal taste but they are great guitars!

What's special about string-thru body ?
Is it only cuz' there's no floyd that you're calling it that way ?
Or something else I don't know about ?

Well Falk, usually anything with a Floyd rose tends to loose some of the sustain because of the way that the whole Floyd thing works. A string through has the strings coming through the body which will cause more vibrations throughout the body and increase the overall sound. Its kinda goofy to explain. I've never actually explained it to anyone before so I'm sure that that didnt make much sence. lol. But it kinda has to do with the whole idea of dirrect mounted pickup's and pickup's that are mounted through that little plastic peice that goes around them ( dont know the exact name of them) on most lower end guitars. I'm sure that someone else could do a better job explaining it than I could

String-thru-body has much better sustain than other string attachment types and is generally better at staying in tune even with a (physically) heavy playing style, and it is very quick and efficient to tune + detune into another tuning.

Are you, per chance, a fan of Jeff Loomis? I know I am... :p

Nice shape, I always liked that.

Was that set-neck? For a cheap back up guitar I was considering Ibanez SZ series or a Tokai PRS copy (the mahogany one).

Did you check the Ibanez before buying this? I would love to hear a comparison. I know that the Schecter is not as much of a PRS replica but anyhow you might have info?

Not really, Nevermore has some good songs here and there, but still something feels missing.
