i had these very good big phones that ended up broken, but not the speakers. So my dad got this old giant firearm training ear-protection thingy that he had and got the phone speakers built in

now i ride 1 hour bus to the univ with these GIGANTIC frankenstein earphones
The best part is that you hear absolutely NOTHING around you. Good to have some time alone in the middle of a crowd.

Hehe, that't be great, I always used to want to get some sound isolating headphones for wakling with (I would take them off to cross the road of course)..it find it so annoying when peopel having their walkman insanely loud on the bus. grrr

What I usually do is listen to a record 'til I absorb it totally. Then, I'm fed up, and listen to something else until I need to listen to the first record again. It's a kind of cycle. For example, it took me about 3 months to absorb last Kamelot's album. With Devin, it's another problem : I cannot get fed up.
Well, in fact I can, with Physicist for example. But I still find interest listening to Terria, DTB, or OM every day at anytime. I still discover things I didn't notice!

I have Shure E2c sound isolators. Eargasm.

SYL anytime, I need my OMFG and Detox everyday^^.

Sunday Afternoon while driving with a nice wheather (even if it talks about rainy sunday afternoon), I guess the few words about "green place" and "deep fields" ring in my head (as I don't care much about the words rather than the voice sound, I only keep a few words in my mind), a girlfriend on the passenger seat would be even better though... (yeah... fuck... ¬¬)

Exept that I don't really have certain moment for certain album... Soetimes I'll listen to only one of them during 2 weeks, then chaneg to another one, or change regularly.

Best time to jam on Devin is the morning, whether it's blasting Stagnant when the sun is coming up or destroying your eardrums to Imperial cranked up to wake you up. SYL is the equivalent to a caffeine pill.

I know exactly what you mean, I first heard Wind & Wuthering by Genesis while driving on a rainy day in the mountains...nothing can compare to that experiance when I listen to that album now.

I love listening to Terria when im in the counrty or the woods, Very "earthy" you know??
