Epic Meal Time much? Apparently you can only find these in southern California, for the moment. Still, the fact that it's pre-packaged I find unappetizing; fair enough if you made bacon-wrapped dogs fresh (I still wouldn't eat it though).

Those are called 'Pigs in Blankets' over here, tend to eat them with turkey around xmas...they're pretty damn tasty 8)

Not sure I'd use a hot dog sausage for that purpose. Not sure I'd use a commercially available hot dog sausage for any culinary puropse in fact. I make sausage of a variety of kinds and have branched into hot dogs this year. Nothing wrong with the recipe. But it it is very forgiving of ingredients - the 'sausagemeat' is made into an emulsion before being piped into the casings. Ours are made with all the offcuts from our pigs - which are free-range, organically reared etc, mixed 70:30 with chicken - the old non layers and the cockerels separated out from the layers - too tough for the table but tasty when slow-cooked or minced. Still free-range and organic. The rest of the process is pretty much the same: grind, grind, mush, mush, stuff. I'm pretty happy eating them and feeding them to my kids. I couldn't begin to sell them at a profit because our pigs take 9-18 months to rear outdoors on varied organic feed. What that says about your budget priced weiner is that the economy has been made in the feeding and rearing of the hog.

... hang on, I'm ranting... sorry. Guess you got my point by now. I will shut up. Having a week of touchy outbursts...

Yeah, when I think Pig in a Blanket, it's a hotdog wrapped in fried dough (also not very appetizing; in fact bacon sounds better).

I'm surprised that stu isn't all over this!
Maybe he can no longer see past that Young-esque beard of his.

BREAKING NEWS!
In an unfolding WTF moment...Dave goes into his back yard to discover seeds scattered from his bird feeder have germinated and he is now the proud owner of 2 corn and 2 wheat plants/stalks/whatevers. :o

Actually, the wheat turned out to be barley.
Hmm...methinks a pot still is in order.

Anyway,

Wot. The. Biebering. Shitbag.

If you're huddling together in a busted fuselage up the Andes, I can sympathise.
But this...

How soon before "reality TV" (surely one of the greatest of all misnomers) drops all the pretense, and we get down to The Running Man.

THAT, I'd watch.

What I want to know is, since the two got the flesh from each other, what parts did they cut off to eat? They both seem in rather lively spirits about it.
Still, that is pretty fucked. Since they're Dutch I can't help but imagine Tom Six getting inspiration from this.

Just watched the show, so I guess they succeeded in the sense of getting more viewers. Conclusion was that human fat tastes horrid and that human muscle is alright, very similar to the animal counterpart. The only disgusting thing about it was that they showed the surgeon removing their flesh, but then again I don't watch tv shows about medical procedures either so maybe that was normal after all. Apart from that, it was quite boring actually, but I imagine there will be some outrage tomorrow in the news from some politician or action group trying to get some attention for themselves. I doubt they'll actually be prosecuted, much less convicted.

Nothing odd about that. Lots of people eat the placenta after birth. As do most animals - in nature it allows the mother to regain some iron etc after all that blood loss. It is very nutritious. raw would be a bit challenging for me, but fried it is fine and made into pate is best.

The Dutch thing was a lot of fuss about nothing. I once cut off part of my thumb while preparing a 7 bird Crhistmas roast that was larger than those tiny gobbets of flesh they were sacrificing, and didn't bother fishing it out of the dish. It's only meat FFS.

Didn't you make soup from gooseblood like two weeks ago? Your opinion isn't comparable to the rest of us Conan. :D
